Biohazard and Crime Scene Cleanup in Spring Hill, TN
Spring Hill has grown fast. The Census estimates it went from about 50,000 residents in 2020 to more than 61,000 in 2025, and most of that growth is in new subdivisions full of young families. When a death, injury or crime leaves biological material in one of those homes, we come down from Nashville to clean it up.
Here's what that work usually involves in newer construction, how the city's position across two counties affects things, and what to expect for travel.

A city in two counties
Spring Hill sits in both Maury and Williamson counties. For a family, that mostly matters when it comes to official contacts: which sheriff's office handles areas outside the city, and which county medical examiner is involved after an unexpected death. Inside city limits, the city police respond. You don't have to sort any of that out before calling us. We start only after the agency handling the scene has released it, whichever one that is.
Our county pages cover the wider areas: Maury County and Williamson County.
What newer homes mean for a cleanup
About 73.4 percent of homes in Spring Hill are owner-occupied, and many were built recently. New construction shares a few features that affect our work:
Carpet over pad over engineered subfloor
Bedrooms and stairs are often carpeted. Fluids pass through carpet into the pad and can reach the OSB or plywood beneath. We check the subfloor, not just the visible surface, and remove sections only where needed. See carpet and subfloor cleanup.
Luxury vinyl plank
The surface is waterproof, but the seams aren't always. Liquid can get between the planks and underneath. Sometimes a few rows need to be lifted to check.
Open floor plans
With fewer walls, air and odor move freely between the kitchen, living room and upstairs. Containment matters more, and we may set up temporary barriers.
Builder-grade drywall
If drywall has absorbed fluids, we cut out the affected section. Patching and painting afterward is a contractor's job; we'll tell you if you'll need one.
When there are children in the house
Spring Hill's subdivisions are full of families with kids, and parents worry about what the children have seen and whether the house is safe for them now. On the practical side, we keep the affected area closed and sealed while we work, and we'll tell you when it's done and the area is ready for its next step. On the emotional side, there's no right way to talk with children about what happened. Many families find it easier to stay with relatives until the work is finished. If you have a school counselor or pediatrician you trust, they can suggest age-appropriate ways to explain things. You don't need to have all of that figured out before calling us. Getting the room cleaned is one less thing to manage.
Workplace incidents near the GM plant
General Motors' Spring Hill manufacturing site covers about 2,100 acres, and the state has described it as GM's largest facility in North America. Supplier and logistics businesses surround it. We clean up after workplace injuries and other incidents at industrial and commercial sites, working within the employer's safety rules. More detail is on commercial biohazard cleanup.
Services that come up in Spring Hill
Garages, driveways and outdoor areas
Not every incident happens inside. In suburban homes we're often asked to clean garages, driveways, patios and decks. These surfaces behave differently from interior ones:
- Garage and driveway concrete is porous unless sealed. Blood can soak in, and it usually needs repeated cleaning and disinfection instead of a single pass.
- Wood decks have gaps, end grain and sometimes stain that has worn through. Boards that have absorbed fluids may have to be replaced, which a contractor would handle.
- Pavers and stone can trap material in the joint sand.
- Items stored in a garage, such as cardboard boxes, rugs and sports gear, are often porous and get sorted the same way as indoor belongings.
Rain doesn't solve the problem. It can spread material into nearby soil or joints. If an outdoor area is affected, keep people and pets off it and let us take a look.
Coming down I-65 from Nashville
We have no office in Spring Hill. The city is about 30 miles south of Nashville by I-65, past Brentwood and Franklin, and that corridor's traffic can change a lot depending on the hour. We'll confirm a time with you by phone and keep you posted if anything changes. The phone line is answered at any hour.
Nearby, we also serve Thompson's Station, Columbia and Franklin.
Insurance and other costs
Homeowner's policies sometimes cover part of this work; it depends on your policy and insurer. We give you photos, a written scope and an itemized invoice so you can file a claim. If the incident was a crime in your home, Tennessee Criminal Injuries Compensation may cover up to $3,000 for cleaning and removal. Our guide on evaluating a cleanup quote can help you compare scopes.
Questions people ask
Our home is on the Maury County side. Does that change anything?
Not for us. The same team comes from Nashville either way. It only affects which county agencies may be involved before the scene is released.
Can you save our luxury vinyl plank floor?
Often the planks themselves can be cleaned. The question is whether liquid got through the seams. We check before deciding, and we only lift planks where there's reason to.
Is it safe for the kids to be home during the cleanup?
We seal off the work area, but most families prefer that children stay elsewhere until the work is complete. We'll tell you when the area is done.
Do you rebuild what you remove?
No. We remove and disinfect. Repairs like new drywall or flooring are a contractor's job, and we'll tell you if you need one.
Our HOA has rules about work trucks. Is that a problem?
Usually not. Let us know the rules and we'll park and stage equipment to suit them.
Can I start the process online?
Yes. The Order Online page involves a $2,000 initial deposit. That isn't the final price, and paying it doesn't mean work begins within a set time.
